Hunting Methods
HUNTING METHOD (1) – Guide Escort To And From Stand
RockRidge Outfitters guides take our guests to their stands before shooting light. Wind direction is key; as a result, daily stand locations will vary according to the wind direction. Deer activity, along with wind, will be our guides main considerations when choosing your hunting location for the day. All guests can anticipate hunting numerous stands over the course of their hunt.
HUNTING METHOD (2) – Guide and Hound Assisted
As we all know Monster Bucks are very cagey and mainly move/feed at night. Not at RockRidge Outfitters! During the two week rifle hunt hunters have the option if they wish, to utilize RockRidge Outfitters deer hounds. These dogs are born to run deer. Ask anyone who hunts with dogs and they will tell you there is no other heart pounding feeling then hearing a hound coming your way and then hearing the sound of a big buck coming to you. Due to the rugged and remote terrain dogs are an excellent way to find and move MONSTER BUCKS WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE
